Here’s Help to Create a Pollinator Garden

There is a lot of information on our website about the importance of insects, native plants and caring about our ecosystem. Many people, organizations and whole cities have dedicated themselves to biodiversity, reducing carbon emissions and encouraging pollinator insects.

Environment Hamilton and the Hamilton Naturalists Club have developed an excellent website called Hamilton Pollinator Paradise. You may not live in Hamilton, but the advice is available to anyone who wants information about providing food and shelter for pollinators.

The web address is hamiltonpollinatorparadise.org. The ‘toolkit’ is especially helpful. It outlines why pollinators are important, who they are, how native plants support native pollinators and then provides all the information you need to plan and maintain a pollinator garden.

The illustrations and information is clear, colourful and easy to understand.

Why not make 2021 the year you and your garden go wild? Create a pollinator paradise on your property.
